An Atlas Trunk and Luggage Co. child's doll or toy trunk, manufactured in Montreal, Canada. The chest features a vibrant red painted exterior, reinforced with black-painted metal strapping and protective corner caps secured by rivets. The hardware includes two outer draw-bolt latches and a central locking hasp in a weathered brass tone, with metal drop handles to the sides for carrying. The interior is lined with decorative paper featuring a repeated nursery-themed print of children, houses, and toys. The trunk contains a collection of vintage doll clothing, including hand-knitted booties, bonnets, and various patterned garments. Approximate dimensions (measured against a ruler, only inches shown): L 61 cm x D 33 cm x H 38 cm. Condition: The exterior shows signs of age and use including scratches, paint scuffs, and chips to the finish. There is visible surface oxidation and pitting to the metal hardware and corner caps. The interior paper lining displays staining, foxing, and wear consistent with age.
