A vintage Spartan steering sled and a contemporary decorative holiday arrangement. The steering sled is constructed from wooden slats mounted on a red-painted metal frame with integrated runners. The central slat is vertically inscribed with the maker name SPARTAN in red paint. A wooden steering crossbar at the front is decorated with a red star motif and features a flexible steering mechanism and a frayed rope pull. The decorative item consists of a small wooden sled-form box painted in a dark red colour, containing artificial evergreen foliage, plastic red berries, natural pinecones, and a red and black buffalo plaid fabric bow. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Sled length approx. 36 inches, Steering bar width approx. 21 inches. Condition: The vintage sled shows significant wear consistent with age and use. The metal frame and runners exhibit widespread surface rust and loss of red paint. The wooden slats are weathered with fading to the painted markings and numerous scratches. The rope pull is heavily frayed. The decorative seasonal arrangement is in good condition with minimal signs of handling.
