An assortment of mid-20th-century agricultural and workshop items of Canadian origin. The group features a large rectangular lithographed sheet metal tin for Royal Purple Poultry Conditioner, manufactured by The W.A. Jenkins Mfg. Co. Limited of London, Canada. The tin is decorated with a central circular vignette of a rooster and hen and carries text indicating it contained 280 doses. Included is a Green Cross Insecticide Sprayer Model 3, consisting of a yellow-painted cylindrical pump body and a side-mounted reservoir canister, bearing printed instructions for use on cattle and vegetables. The lot also contains a collection of hand tools and accessories, including a slatted wooden basket, a Burndy Wire-Mike workshop gauge, a wooden marking gauge, a hand saw with a carved wooden handle, and a pair of blue-handled pliers marked Made in Canada. Further items include an open-end wrench, a wooden pulley wheel with wire attachment, a wooden-handled file, and a leather-cased accessory. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Tin H approx. 8.5 inches; Sprayer L approx. 12 inches. Condition: The items are in as-found condition with varying degrees of wear consistent with age and utilitarian use. The lithographed tin shows significant surface oxidation to the lid and base, with some fading and scratches to the printed surfaces. The insecticide sprayer exhibits paint loss, surface oxidation, and grime. The assorted hand tools show surface rust, staining to the wooden components, and general wear to the metal parts. The pump mechanism of the sprayer is intact but untested.
