A collection of three items of miniature wooden furniture. The group includes an oval-topped stool of stained hardwood construction, supported by four turned and splayed legs. The underside shows the legs are inserted into drilled holes with visible adhesive residue around the joints. Accompanying the stool are two rocking doll cradles. The first is of primitive folk art design in dark-stained wood, featuring curved rockers and simple plank construction. This cradle is fitted with vintage hand-knitted garter stitch bedding in multi-coloured pastel tones and a lace-edged linen coverlet. The second cradle is a sleigh-style piece crafted from light-toned pine. It features heart-shaped cutouts to the headboard and footboard, with construction utilising visible wooden dowel plugs. Dimensions (measured against a tape measure): Stool: Height approx. 26.7 cm (10.5 in), Diameter approx. 33 cm (13 in) Dark Cradle: Length approx. 40.6 cm (16 in), Height approx. 17.8 cm (7 in) Pine Cradle: Length approx. 44.5 cm (17.5 in), Height approx. 24.1 cm (9.5 in). Condition: The stool is in fair to good condition with multiple fine scratches and minor indentations to the top surface, along with visible finish wear and thinning to the legs. The dark cradle shows significant age-related wear including a distressed and chipping finish, particularly along the upper edges and corners, with rockers exhibiting wear consistent with use. The pine cradle is in good vintage condition with the wood retaining a clear finish and only minor surface scuffing or light scratches.
