Group of Eight Chinese Porcelain & Celadon-Style Tea Bowls and Cups. Largest pieces approximately 3.5 inches diameter; tallest cups approximately 2.5 inches H. An assorted group of eight Chinese ceramic tea bowls and cups in a variety of traditional forms, glazes, and decorative styles. The group includes two lobed celadon-style bowls with pronounced crackle glazes and exposed brown-edged foot rims; a yellow-glazed bowl; a famille-rose style porcelain bowl decorated with fruit and floral motifs; and four porcelain tea cups decorated with flowering branches, trees, blossoms, calligraphy, and seal marks. Several pieces bear apocryphal Chinese reign marks, including blue and red seal or character marks to the undersides. The two larger floral cups appear to bear Kangxi-style six-character marks, while other examples carry additional reign- or workshop-style marks. These marks should be considered decorative or honorific and are not presented as period reign marks. The assortment appears predominantly 20th-century Chinese, likely mid- to late 20th century, with forms and decoration inspired by earlier Qing Dynasty porcelains and traditional celadon wares. Condition: Overall good condition with varying age-appropriate wear. Scattered surface marks, discoloration, glaze and firing irregularities, minor rim and foot wear, and extensive intentional crackling to the celadon-style bowls.
