Scott Jacobs (American, b. 1958), Pass the Salt, Signed Limited Edition Giclée on Canvas, a highly detailed photorealistic still life depicting a bottle of Patrón tequila accompanied by two shot glasses and freshly cut lime wedges. Signed by the artist lower right. You can't hardly tell this is not the original. Jacobs is an American photorealist particularly recognized for his highly finished paintings of motorcycles, automobiles, wine, spirits, and related lifestyle subjects. He became the first officially licensed Harley-Davidson artist in 1993, an association that helped establish his national following. Pass the Salt is one of Jacobs' recognizable spirits-themed compositions and was featured by Park West Gallery in its fine-art collection. The dramatic black background and reflective glass surfaces emphasize Jacobs meticulous handling of light, while the warm amber tones of the tequila and bright lime wedges give the composition considerable visual impact. Based on published examples of Pass the Salt, this composition was issued as a hand-signed limited-edition giclée on canvas from an edition of 495. Art: 20 x 15 inches. Framed Dimensions: 28 x 23 inches. Presented in a substantial high-quality gilt frame with decorative gilt inner molding and dark wood-toned liner, providing an attractive presentation complementary to the black and amber palette of the composition. Documentation: No separate Certificate of Authenticity or appraisal documentation was supplied with this example. A Park West inventory label remains affixed to the verso and identifies the artist as Scott Jacobs and the work as Pass the Salt. Condition: Very good to excellent overall condition. Artwork presents beautifully with strong color and crisp detail. Quality frame presents well with minor wear consistent with age and display.
