Simon Bull (British/American, b. 1958), Brilliant Red III, 2007, Original Acrylic on Canvas — Unique Work. Original acrylic painting on canvas and a unique work, featuring a dramatic close-up floral composition rendered in brilliant orange, red, burgundy, and violet against a deep dark ground. Signed in pigment lower left by the artist. A particularly attractive example of Bull's signature floral imagery, using saturated color, sweeping organic forms, and strong contrasts to create an energetic and visually striking composition. The close cropping of the flower and intense palette give this relatively intimate painting considerable decorative impact. According to the accompanying Park West Gallery documentation, the painting is titled on the verso, a unique work, and was from the collection of the artist. Artwork Dimensions: 12 x 12 inches. Framed Dimensions: 21 x 21 inches. Presented in a substantial high-quality gilt and dark wood frame with gilt inner liner, complementing the rich colors of the painting. Documentation: Accompanied by the original Park West Gallery Certificate of Authenticity, Registration No. 205527.0000, identifying the work as Brilliant Red III, dated 2007, an acrylic painting on canvas, signed in pigment lower left, titled on the verso, a unique work, and from the collection of the artist. Also accompanied by a Park West Gallery appraisal dated November 16, 2012, stating a then-current retail replacement value of $3,350, including the frame. This historical appraisal accompanies the painting as documentation and does not represent its current auction estimate. Condition: Very good to excellent overall condition. Painting presents beautifully with rich, vibrant color and no significant condition issues apparent. Quality frame presents well with minor wear consistent with age and display.
