Simon Bull (British/American, b. 1958), Sparkling Heart I-IX, 2014. Original acrylic painting on plexiglass and a unique work, featuring Bull’s stylized heart motif rendered against a dramatic black ground with sparkling red, blue, and metallic accents. Hand-signed in pigment lower right by the artist. A colorful and highly decorative example of Bull’s contemporary work, with the textured, glittering pigments and reflective plexiglass surface creating considerable visual impact. Unlike an editioned print, the accompanying Park West Gallery documentation specifically identifies this example as A unique work. Artwork Dimensions: 10 1/8 x 8 1/8 inches. Framed Dimensions: 22 x 20 inches. Presented in an elaborate, high-quality gilt and ebonized frame with carved-style ornamentation, black matting, and gilt inner trim. Documentation: Accompanied by the original Park West Gallery Certificate of Authenticity, Registration No. 313022.0000, identifying the work as an acrylic painting on plexiglass, hand-signed by the artist, and a unique work. Also accompanied by a Park West Gallery appraisal dated August 23, 2014, stating a then-current retail replacement value of $1,850, including the frame.
