Souvenir Photograph Packets

A pair of souvenir photograph packets containing silver gelatin prints. The first packet, titled Souvenir Views of Watkins Glen, N.Y., includes black and white prints depicting gorge landscapes, waterfalls, and stone bridges. Printed captions in the margins identify the scenes as Rainbow Falls, Cathedral Rapids, Sentry Bridge, Frowning Cliff, Central Cascade, and Diamond Falls. These are contained in a yellow illustrated cardstock slipcase. The second packet, titled Monaco - Monte Carlo, contains sepia-toned silver gelatin prints of coastal vistas, harbor scenes with yachts, and grand architectural sites. The blue cardstock box is marked with a sunburst logo and the text REAL CAP PHOTOS. One photograph features a handwritten inscription in French on the reverse reading Le Casino et les Terrasses. Dimensions: approx. 9 cm x 14 cm (measured against a visible ruler). Condition: The photographs are in fair to good condition, exhibiting minor edge wear and light scattered foxing. The Monaco set shows some silvering in the darker tonal areas. The original cardstock packaging shows significant shelf wear, including rubbing at the corners, surface scuffing, and small tears.
