A Sheaffer desk stand and an ornate metal pen holder. The Sheaffer stand comprises a rectangular light-coloured onyx base supporting a gold-toned swivel pen socket and a central brass plaque engraved D. BLAKELY FROM CLASS OF 76-77, with a black and gold Sheaffer label to the side. The second item is an ornate metal desk stand designed as a footed casket with scrolled foliate relief decoration, a hinged lid with a swivel pen socket, and four claw feet. Late 20th century. Dimensions measured against a ruler: Onyx base approx. W 17.5 cm x D 9.5 cm; Metal casket approx. W 10.5 cm x D 7.5 cm x H 4.0 cm. Condition: Both stands are missing their original pens. The onyx base exhibits minor surface wear. The metal casket shows significant tarnishing and wear to the plated finish.
