A set of twelve silver-plated teaspoons, each featuring a handle decorated with an embossed scrolling foliate and shell pattern. The reverse of each handle is stamped with a series of marks in individual cartouches: the letters A, &, D, and S, followed by a stylized serif letter M. The side of the stem is stamped with the registered design mark RD 513688. The spoons are housed in a fitted presentation case with a black leatherette-covered exterior and a blue velvet and silk-lined interior. A central slot in the case is currently vacant. Dimensions (measured from visible scale): L 37.5 cm x W 16.5 cm x D 3.2 cm. Condition: The spoons show minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and use. One piece from the original set is missing from the central slot of the presentation case. The exterior of the case shows significant signs of wear, including heavy scuffing, loss of the leatherette finish along the edges and corners, and general shelf wear. The interior lining shows light compression marks and minor fading.
