Original British Pattern 1907 Mk I sword bayonet manufactured at the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield, for use with the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield rifle. Features the desirable early hooked quillon that was discontinued before World War I. * Ricasso marked with crown, "1907," “9 ’09,” and Enfield markings * Additional British military inspection and acceptance stamps * Matching period-style leather scabbard and leather frog * Frog is stamped “1.16 / 1914 / 434” * Bayonet and scabbard display scratches, finish wear, oxidation, leather wear, verdigris, and other wear appropriate for their age * Approximately 15 inches as measured Important: A standard Pattern 1907 bayonet normally measures approximately 21-3/4 inches overall with a 17-inch blade. I would recheck your 15-inch measurement before listing it. This item came from a collector’s estate. We have not authenticated it, and it is being sold exactly as acquired. Authenticity has not been verified; bidders should rely on their own inspection and the photographs provided. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding. Estimated Auction Value: $600-$800
