Description: U.S. M6 bayonet for the M14 rifle manufactured by MILPAR-COL (Columbus Milpar & Mfg. Co., Columbus, Ohio). Guard is marked MILPAR-COL on one side and U.S. M6 on the reverse, with ordnance flaming bomb and proof marks visible in photos. Features a 6 3/4-inch spear-point blade, steel guard with muzzle ring, black checkered plastic handle with steel pommel and locking lug release. Includes original U.S. M8 scabbard marked U.S. M8 B.M. CO. on the throat. Olive drab steel body with olive drab canvas frog, double grommets, retaining strap and snap closure. Measures approximately 13 inches overall in the sheath. Condition: Blade shows scratches, sharpening marks and finish loss with light oxidation. Guard shows surface wear and discoloration. Handle shows wear and scuffing. Scabbard shows paint loss, scuffing, surface discoloration, and wear to the canvas frog, stitching and strap. Please examine all photographs closely.
