Autographed 1990 TV Sports Mailbag Mickey Mantle MLB Hall Of Fame 8X10 Stat Sheet (JSA Authenticated) (JSA Certification: BA09204). Personally signed by one of the most iconic and collectible athletes in American sports history and authenticated by James Spence Authentication with JSA Certification BA09204. The commemorative display celebrates the extraordinary career of Mickey Mantle, the legendary New York Yankees center fielder whose combination of tremendous switch hitting power, speed and larger than life popularity made him the defining baseball superstar of his generation. Mantle spent his entire 18 season Major League career with the Yankees from 1951 through 1968, compiling 2,415 hits, 536 home runs, 1,509 RBI, 1,676 runs and a .298 lifetime batting average, while earning 20 All Star selections under the era's selection format. "The Mick" captured three American League Most Valuable Player Awards, led the league in home runs four times and produced one of baseball's greatest individual seasons in 1956, winning the Triple Crown with a .353 batting average, 52 home runs and 130 RBI while also earning his first MVP Award. Mantle was at the center of the Yankees dynasty, appearing in 12 World Series and winning seven championships, while his 18 career World Series home runs remain the all time record. His legendary 1961 pursuit of Babe Ruth alongside teammate Roger Maris remains one of the most celebrated home run races in baseball history, with Mantle finishing the season with a career high 54 home runs. Despite battling numerous injuries throughout his career, Mantle became one of only a select group of players to surpass 500 career home runs and remains one of the greatest switch hitters the sport has ever produced. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974, and his iconic No. 7 was retired by the New York Yankees. Mantle passed away in 1995 at the age of 63, permanently limiting the supply of authentic material signed during his lifetime and helping make his autograph one of the enduring cornerstones of the baseball memorabilia hobby. Combining a Mickey Mantle autograph, vintage TV Sports Mailbag Hall of Fame presentation and third party authentication from JSA under certification BA09204, this impressive piece represents a tremendous addition to any Mickey Mantle, New York Yankees, Hall of Fame or advanced baseball autograph collection.
