An impressive Willie Mays Autographed 1990 Geo Graphics National Baseball Library 24x36 MLB Baseball Poster, a large format display piece celebrating one of the greatest all around players in the history of the game and featuring a bold Willie Mays signature authenticated by James Spence Authentication under JSA Certification J16197. Produced by Geo Graphics in 1990 using photography credited to the National Baseball Library in Cooperstown, New York, the poster features a striking San Francisco Giants design with a large portrait of Mays, a full length batting image, period Giants graphics and the unmistakable "Willie Mays, Outfield, San Francisco Giants" identification across a vivid blue background. Mays has signed prominently across the lower portion of his portrait, creating a tremendous visual centerpiece on an already impressive 24x36 display. Forever remembered as the "Say Hey Kid," Mays combined extraordinary power, speed, defense and athleticism during a legendary Major League career that produced 3,293 hits, 660 home runs, 1,909 RBI, 2,068 runs, 338 stolen bases, two National League MVP Awards, 12 Gold Glove Awards and 24 All Star selections under the era's selection format. His spectacular over the shoulder catch in Game 1 of the 1954 World Series, forever known simply as "The Catch," remains one of the defining defensive plays in baseball history, while his combination of 660 home runs and elite center field defense established a standard few players have approached. Mays helped lead the Giants to the 1954 World Series championship, was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979, and remained one of baseball's most revered living legends until his passing in 2024 at the age of 93, permanently limiting the supply of material signed during his lifetime.
