Autographed 1990 TV Sports Mailbag #31 / #32 Jim Palmer MLB Hall Of Fame Induction 8X10 Stat Sheets (Limited Edition) (2 Signatures Total). A pair of limited edition commemorative pieces honoring one of the greatest pitchers in Baltimore Orioles history and featuring two Jim Palmer signatures in total. Issued in two distinct designs celebrating Palmer's induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the stat sheets showcase imagery and career accomplishments from a remarkable career spent entirely with the Baltimore Orioles organization. Palmer pitched 19 Major League seasons from 1965 through 1984, compiling a brilliant 268 and 152 record, 2.86 career ERA, 2,212 strikeouts, 211 complete games and 53 shutouts while earning six All Star selections and four Gold Glove Awards. One of the dominant pitchers of the 1970s, Palmer captured three American League Cy Young Awards in 1973, 1975 and 1976, recorded eight 20 win seasons, and led the American League in ERA twice, victories three times and innings pitched four times. His postseason résumé was equally impressive, as Palmer helped Baltimore capture three World Series championships in 1966, 1970 and 1983, remarkably becoming the only pitcher in Major League history to record a World Series victory in three different decades. As a 20 year old rookie in the 1966 World Series, Palmer famously threw a complete game shutout against Sandy Koufax and the Los Angeles Dodgers, helping the Orioles secure the first championship in franchise history. Palmer never surrendered a grand slam during his entire Major League career, another remarkable distinction from one of the era's most consistently dominant pitchers. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 1990, making these TV Sports Mailbag issues from the very year of his Cooperstown induction especially appropriate commemoratives, while his iconic No. 22 has been retired by the Baltimore Orioles. Combining two Jim Palmer autographs, two distinct limited edition Hall of Fame stat sheets, direct connection to his 1990 induction and the legacy of a three time Cy Young Award winner and three time World Series champion, this impressive duo represents a tremendous addition to any Jim Palmer, Baltimore Orioles, Hall of Fame or advanced baseball autograph collection.
