Autographed 1990 TV Sports Mailbag #30 Yogi Berra MLB Hall Of Fame Induction 8X10 Stat Sheet (Limited Edition). A limited edition commemorative piece honoring one of the most beloved, accomplished and recognizable figures in baseball history. The display celebrates Berra's induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame with classic imagery and a presentation of his extraordinary career statistics, while Berra has personally signed the piece, creating an especially appealing collectible from the legendary New York Yankees catcher. Berra spent 18 of his 19 Major League seasons with the Yankees from 1946 through 1963, finishing his career with 2,150 hits, 358 home runs, 1,430 RBI and a .285 lifetime batting average while earning an incredible 18 All Star selections. One of the greatest catchers ever to play the game, Berra won three American League Most Valuable Player Awards and was a cornerstone of the Yankees dynasty that dominated baseball during the late 1940s, 1950s and early 1960s. His postseason accomplishments remain staggering, as Berra appeared in 14 World Series as a player and won a record 10 World Series championships, more championship rings as a player than anyone in Major League history. He also caught Don Larsen's legendary perfect game in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series, producing one of baseball's most enduring images when Berra leaped into Larsen's arms following the final out. After his playing career, Berra continued his remarkable baseball life as a manager and coach, leading both the Yankees and New York Mets to league pennants and remaining one of the sport's most cherished personalities, famous for his unforgettable "Yogi isms." A decorated World War II Navy veteran who participated in the D Day invasion, Berra's legacy extends well beyond the baseball diamond. He was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972, and his iconic No. 8 was retired by the Yankees. Berra passed away in 2015 at the age of 90, permanently limiting the supply of authentic material signed during his lifetime. Combining a Yogi Berra autograph, limited edition TV Sports Mailbag production, Hall of Fame commemorative presentation and the legacy of a three time MVP, 18 time All Star and record 10 time World Series champion, this impressive piece represents a tremendous addition to any Yogi Berra, New York Yankees, Hall of Fame or advanced baseball autograph collection.
