Three United States $2 Federal Reserve Notes, all Series 1976, with the Jefferson portrait on the face and the Trumbull painting of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the back. Signatures are Neff and Simon. Two come from the Chicago district, letter G, serials G25762513A and G19349369A, and one from Minneapolis, letter I, serial I13345246A. All three appear to grade Crisp Uncirculated or very close, with bright clean paper, sharp square corners, strong ink and no folds, creases, pinholes, tears or writing. One back shows a very faint diagonal handling line at the lower left but no hard crease. There are no star notes, no fancy serial numbers, and no first day of issue postmark. These notes are raw and have not been certified by PMG or PCGS. The $2 note returned in 1976 for the Bicentennial and the public promptly put them away instead of spending them, so crisp Series 1976 notes remain common and trade on eye appeal rather than scarcity.
