A 1977 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set, which is a mint set and not a proof set. The envelope is printed U.S. MINT 1977 Uncirculated Coin, and the coins carry satin business-strike surfaces with ordinary luster, not the black mirror fields and frosted devices of a proof. Twelve coins are present in the two sealed pliofilm packs used for these sets, one red seal and one blue seal, normally one Philadelphia pack and one Denver pack. Each holds a Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Washington quarter, Kennedy half and Eisenhower dollar. Both packs are unopened with every seam intact. Glare and wrinkles in the plastic make individual mint marks unreadable, so we cannot confirm them coin by coin. The cents show full red color. The mailing envelope is soiled, creased across the middle, lightly stained and worn at the flap, but not torn through. Nothing here is silver: circulating coinage left silver behind by 1971, and the 1977 Eisenhower dollar is copper-nickel clad. Estimated Value: $8 to $16. Sold as-is.
