Six Closed Cent Rolls, Contents Unverified

Six intact paper one cent rolls, four in magenta bank wrappers printed 50c PENNIES for the United Missouri Bank of Warsaw, Missouri, and two in salmon STEEL-STRONG wrappers. Every roll is closed and crimped at both ends, and not one coin appears in any of the twelve photographs, so no date, mint mark, design or metal can be confirmed from the images. If all six are full they hold 300 cents, or $3.00 in face value. The wrappers are lightly handled with scuffing, light creasing along the tube seams and a few flattened dents. There are no tears, no water staining and no tape, although one pink roll shows an open seam line along the top. The pencil notes reading 1970s, 1980s, 1980-81 and 1970 and 1980 are the consignor's handwriting, not proof of anything. Worth knowing: a crimped roll tells you nothing about what is inside, because anyone can open an end, pull coins and fold the paper back down. Bid on what the photographs actually show, which is six wrappers. Estimated Value: $6 to $15. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
