$10 Roll of 1776-1976 D Bicentennial Quarters

An unopened roll of clad Bicentennial quarters, both ends still factory crimped, in an orange wrapper printed $10 QUARTERS, MADE IN U.S.A. and STEEL-STRONG TUBULAR, with a C-77 stamp on one end. Forty coins would fill a $10 quarter roll, but only the two end coins can be verified and the interior was never shown. The obverse end is dated 1776-1976 with a clearly legible D right of the hair ribbon, clean light gray surfaces, a faint golden tinge in the hair and one small dark speck on the cheek. The reverse end coin has full drummer detail with warm golden-tan tone across the hat and shoulder, no scratches, no rim damage and no corrosion. About that mint mark: Philadelphia and Denver together struck these by the hundreds of millions for circulation while San Francisco made the collector versions, so a D roll carries no premium over a P roll. These are clad, hold no silver, and with over 1.6 billion struck a circulated roll is a face value lot. Estimated Value: $9 to $13. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
