1776-1976 D Bicentennial Quarter Roll Bright End

A sealed roll of clad Bicentennial quarters with both ends still factory crimped, in a plain orange wrapper printed QUARTERS, MADE IN U.S.A. and STEEL-STRONG TUBULAR, stamped C 77 on one end. No $10 or other denomination is legible on the photographed faces of this wrapper, so the amount cannot be confirmed, and with the roll closed only the end coins can be checked. The obverse end reads 1776-1976 with a clearly legible D right of the hair ribbon, light gray fields, a faint tan cast and no wear on the high points. The reverse end coin shows the full drummer with clean gray surfaces and slight softness on the drum hoop that comes from the strike rather than wear. No corrosion, no rim dings, no cleaning signs. On the market: millions of Americans pulled Bicentennial quarters out of circulation in 1976 expecting them to become scarce, and that saving is exactly why they are still everywhere. Over 1.6 billion were struck, they carry no silver, and circulated ones are face value coins. Estimated Value: $9 to $13. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
