1776-1976 D Bicentennial Quarters $10 Roll Clean

A clad Bicentennial quarter roll in an orange and tan wrapper with $10 QUARTERS printed across it, still factory crimped and unopened. Only the two end coins can be verified; the interior was never shown and the count cannot be confirmed. Both visible coins are the cleanest in this group, with full sharp detail, clean light gray surfaces, no toning spots, no rim dings and no scratches, though mildly dull rather than lustrous. The obverse end reads 1776-1976 with a clearly legible D right of the hair ribbon. The pencil writing on the wrapper is rubbed and only partly legible, reading roughly Bi Centenal with a clear 76, and the wrapper is scuffed with loose fibers at the ends. Composition matters here: since 1965 the quarter has been a sandwich of copper-nickel bonded to a solid copper core, which is why the edge shows a copper stripe. Bicentennial circulation quarters follow that recipe and contain no silver. More than 1.6 billion were made, so circulated rolls are face value. Estimated Value: $9 to $13. Sold as-is.
