A factory crimped, unopened paper roll of clad State quarters in a tan and orange wrapper printed QUARTERS. The red marker handwriting reads 1999 - 2001 STATES, but that is the consignor's note, and no printed $10 or other denomination is legible on this wrapper, so the amount cannot be confirmed. Only the two end coins are verifiable and no interior coin was photographed, so which states fill the roll cannot be determined. One end shows the statehood obverse, Washington facing left with a clearly legible D below IN GOD WE TRUST, and the other end shows the 2000 Massachusetts reverse with the Minuteman over the state outline. Both are sharp and clean with bright gray surfaces, no toning spots, rim dings or scratches. The 50 State Quarters program ran from 1999 through 2008 at five designs a year, in the order the states ratified the Constitution, which is why Massachusetts came early. Every circulating State quarter is clad with no silver, and circulated rolls are face value. Estimated Value: $9 to $13. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
