Three $1 notes, not one. The first is a Series 1957 B Silver Certificate, serial R29100862A, with a blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers, the Granahan and Dillon signatures, and the standard Great Seal back. It is heavily circulated and very limp, with uniform dirty tan-brown soiling, several hard vertical folds, a heavy horizontal center fold, a fuzzy frayed left edge, rounded corners, a crumpled lower left corner and small edge splits top and bottom. It sits in a plain zip-top plastic bag and was never photographed out of it. Learn this before you bid: the note reads payable in silver on demand, but silver redemption ended on June 24 1968, so it cannot be traded for silver or for anything but a dollar. The 1957-B is also the most common of the 1957 varieties. The other two notes are ordinary circulated Federal Reserve notes, a Series 1995 Richmond and a Series 1999 Kansas City, with no star and no error, worth face value and nothing more.
