1979-D Susan B Anthony Dollars (5)

Five copper-nickel clad Susan B Anthony dollars, all dated 1979 and all struck at Denver, with the D mint mark left of the bust readable on every coin. All five retain full hair and drapery with no wear on the high points, so they appear uncirculated, on pale gray-white satin surfaces. Condition notes: one coin has a small orange-brown spot at the cheek and eye with dark grime specks along the drapery, another has a scattering of dark specks on the cheek and neck, and the remaining three carry light tan and pale gold rim toning and are otherwise clean. The reverses were photographed only as a group and show full feather detail with light gray-tan toning and no damage. Something to know: 1979 was the first year of the Anthony dollar and the first time a real woman appeared on a circulating United States coin. The 1979-P Wide Rim variety collectors hunt is a Philadelphia coin and does not apply to these Denver strikes. These are clad and hold no silver. Estimated Value: $5 to $8. Sold as-is.
