Four copper-nickel clad Kennedy half dollars with the eagle and shield reverse. Read from the coins themselves rather than the paperwork, the dates are 1980-D, 1991-P, 1992-D and 1992-D, so the run is 1980 to 1992, not the 1980 to 1991 span first listed. Each mint mark sits below the neck truncation and was confirmed at magnification. All four are sharply struck with no high-point wear and appear uncirculated. One 1992-D is bright with strong satin luster and a few faint hairlines in the left field. The other is bright with light gray-gold haze in the right field. The 1991-P is bright satin with light gray toning. The 1980-D is duller gray-white with a slightly grainy surface and a small dark speck near LIBERTY. The reverses were photographed only as a group and all show full eagle and shield detail. Worth knowing: by the 1980s the half dollar had stopped circulating, and in 1987 none were struck for commerce at all. Every Kennedy half from 1971 on is clad, so there is no silver here. Estimated Value: $4 to $8. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors. Please review all photos before bidding.
