A 1968-D Kennedy half dollar in 40 percent silver clad from Denver, with surface problems that have to be disclosed. The D mint mark is visible on the obverse below the neck truncation. Detail is uncirculated with no wear on the hair or the eagle, but the obverse carries several distinct bright green spots: one on and just below the ear, one in the hair at the upper right near the R of LIBERTY, one at the left rim near the L, and smaller green flecks along the lower left rim. There is also a large dull tan brown stain in the left field beside the face and a gray brown haze across the cheek and jaw. The reverse is cleaner, with light gold and gray toning and a few small dark flecks. Green deposits can keep working, so store this one dry. It holds 0.1479 troy ounce of pure silver, roughly $9.75 at recent prices near $66 per ounce, so check spot before you bid. Buy this one for the metal, not the surfaces. Estimated Value: $10 to $13. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors. Please review all photos before bidding.
