Bob White 1967 Archie "Togetherness" Original Pencil Comic Art Page – Possibly Unpublished Scarce 1967 original Archie pencil artwork by noted Archie artist Bob White, featuring the opening page to a story titled “Archie in Togetherness.” The original art is prominently hand-dated “May 5, 1967” along the upper margin. Rendered entirely in graphite pencil on comic art board, the page features Archie Andrews and Miss Grundy in a Riverdale classroom setting. The large opening panel incorporates a fully penciled “Archie in Togetherness” title treatment, followed by two additional story panels with hand-penciled dialogue and word balloons. The artwork is particularly appealing as an example of the comic-production process, retaining visible construction lines, preliminary character work, panel borders, lettering and dialogue. Rather than a finished inked production page, the piece appears to represent an unfinished or preliminary stage of an Archie story, providing an unusually direct look at the artist’s underlying pencil work. This page originates from material recovered from Bob White’s personal storage unit, where it was discovered among additional original artwork and paintings by White, including signed examples. Research has thus far failed to identify a published appearance of this particular “Togetherness” story. A later Archie story bearing the same title is known, but it features a different story and creative team and does not correspond to the present artwork. Considering the page’s unfinished pencil state, 1967 date, Bob White provenance and lack of a presently identified published counterpart, it is offered as possibly unpublished original Archie artwork. Only this single page from the story was present in the collection; no additional sequential pages are included or known to be present. An intriguing piece of vintage Archie history with excellent display appeal, particularly desirable for its large Archie title treatment, prominent character imagery, Miss Grundy appearance, documented 1967 date and direct Bob White collection provenance. Artwork exhibits expected signs of age and storage, including toning, scattered discoloration/foxing, handling wear and other age-related characteristics. Reverse is blank. Please examine photographs carefully for condition. Provenance: From material originating from the Bob White storage unit/collection.
