Five Vintage Vogue Ginny & Mid-Cent. Fashion Dolls

This collection features two boxed vinyl dolls from The World of Ginny line by Vogue Dolls, Inc., produced in 1978 during the Lesney Products Corporation era. Each 8-inch poseable doll is designed with dark brown rooted hair, brown sleep eyes with molded lashes, and bendable knees. They are dressed in matching outfits consisting of brown and white checkered long-sleeved shirts under brown corduroy jumpers with gold-tone button accents, white tights, and black shoes. Also included are three mid-20th century hard plastic jointed fashion dolls, each measuring approximately 7.5 to 8 inches. The first features a blonde curled wig and wears a pink floral-patterned satin-style gown with mesh undergarments. The second is styled as a nurse with an auburn wig, wearing a tall white ribbon hat with a red cross, a gray felt shawl, and a full-length pink gown. The third doll has reddish-auburn hair and wears an elaborate costume comprising a full black garb. These dolls show mostly expected wear due to their age and play. The boxed Ginny dolls remain in their original packaging; however, the boxes exhibit age-related shelf wear including surface loss, creasing, and some tearing to the corners. The loose hard plastic dolls are in good vintage condition with typical frizzing to the synthetic wigs. Minor yellowing and small spots are visible on the nurse's hat, and the sheer tan blouse on the third doll shows some characteristic foxing. Sleep eye mechanisms are functional across the lot.
