This lot features a trio of antique German china head dolls, characterized by glazed porcelain shoulder heads and limbs on stuffed cloth bodies. The first figure displays molded black hair with a side part and waves, fixed painted blue eyes, and china lower limbs with painted flat black boots. She is outfitted in a white cotton dress with floral embroidery at the hem, a beige mantle with braided trim, and a matching bonnet; the inner waistband features a sewn-in name tape for Blatchford. The second figure is a Curly Top model with multiple small molded black curls, fixed painted blue eyes, and china hands. She wears a brown striped cotton dress with a lace-trimmed collar, a white cotton apron, black knit stockings with tan stripes, and leather-like lace-up shoes. The third figure features molded wavy black hair and fixed painted blue eyes. Her china lower legs include specialized painted details of blue ribbons and brown boots. She is dressed in a pink and yellow floral print cotton dress with a wide lace collar and cuffs over a pink slip. Tallest measures 15 inches. These dolls are in very good antique condition with light expected wear to the textiles, including minor toning and spotting consistent with their age. The glazed porcelain components are well-preserved with only slight paint rubbing to the molded hair as is typical for these models.
