Kämmer & Reinhardt 19 Inch German Child Doll

Updated August 22, 2026

A German child doll by Kämmer & Reinhardt featuring a bisque socket head with a painted face, feathered eyebrows, upper and lower eyelashes, and a shaded open mouth revealing four inset upper teeth. The doll is fitted with functional blue glass sleep eyes and retains its original ginger-toned mohair wig styled in curls with a blue ribbon. The back of the head is incised with the K&R star maker mark. The body is constructed of cream-colored gusseted kid leather with pin-jointing at the hips and knees, paired with composition lower arms and hands. The doll is dressed in a handmade cream-colored cotton floral print dress with raised Swiss dots and lace ruffles, accompanied by a matching cotton chemise, pantaloons, knit socks, and ribbon-tied shoes. Height: 19 inches. The doll presents in good overall condition with expected age-related wear to the kid leather body and some surface soiling. The bisque head is free of visible damage, and the sleep eyes are in working order. The composition arms exhibit characteristic surface crazing and finish loss consistent with age. The handmade clothing is clean and well maintained.
