1890 Seated Liberty Dime, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This late-19th-century U.S. silver dime is a classic issue from the final years of the Seated Liberty series and a popular piece among collectors of historic American coinage. The Seated Liberty Dime features Liberty seated on a rock, holding a liberty pole and shield on the obverse, with “ONE DIME” surrounded by a wreath on the reverse. The series ran through 1891, making 1890 one of the final dates of the design. The 1890 Philadelphia issue had a mintage of 9,910,951 coins. Philadelphia Mint examples carry no mint mark. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 2.50 grams, measures 17.9 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge.
