1914-D Barber Dime, struck at the Denver Mint. This classic early-20th-century U.S. silver dime is a desirable date-and-mint issue and the final year Barber Dimes were struck at the Denver Mint. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Barber Dime was designed by Charles E. Barber and was produced from 1892 through 1916. The obverse features Liberty wearing a laurel wreath, while the reverse displays a wreath surrounding the denomination “ONE DIME.” The 1914-D had a mintage of 11,908,000 coins. PCGS notes that the issue is relatively common in circulated grades, while higher Mint State examples become considerably scarcer. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 2.50 grams, measures 17.9 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge. The “D” mint mark appears on the reverse below the wreath.
