1943-D Mercury Dime, struck at the Denver Mint. This classic World War II-era silver dime is a popular issue from the Mercury Dime series and a desirable date-and-mint example for collectors. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Mercury Dime, officially known as the Winged Liberty Head Dime, was designed by Adolph A. Weinman and was produced from 1916 through 1945. The obverse features Liberty wearing a winged cap, while the reverse depicts a fasces flanked by olive branches. The 1943-D had a mintage of 71,949,000 coins. The “D” mint mark appears on the reverse near the bottom left of the fasces. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 2.50 grams, measures about 17.9 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge.
