1945 Mercury Dime, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This is the final year of the Mercury Dime series, making it an especially notable issue for collectors of classic U.S. silver coinage. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Mercury Dime, officially known as the Winged Liberty Head Dime, was designed by Adolph A. Weinman and was produced from 1916 through 1945. The obverse features Liberty wearing a winged cap, while the reverse depicts a fasces flanked by olive branches. The 1945 Philadelphia issue had a mintage of 159,130,000 coins. Philadelphia Mint examples carry no mint mark. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 2.50 grams, measures about 17.9 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge.
