1857 Seated Liberty Dime, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This classic 19th-century U.S. silver dime is an early issue from the Seated Liberty series and a popular piece of historic American coinage. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Seated Liberty Dime was designed by Christian Gobrecht and features Liberty seated on a rock, holding a liberty pole and shield on the obverse. The reverse displays the denomination “ONE DIME” surrounded by a wreath.
