1853 Seated Liberty Dime – With Arrows, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This historically significant variety was part of a major change to U.S. silver coinage in 1853, making it an interesting and collectible issue for Seated Liberty enthusiasts. The Seated Liberty Dime was designed by Christian Gobrecht and features Liberty seated on a rock, holding a liberty pole and shield. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 2.67 grams, measures about 17.9 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge.
