An original commercial illustration executed in gouache and acrylic on illustration board. The composition depicts a romantic interaction between a man in Western attire, including a Stetson-style hat, white shirt, and blue denim jeans, and a woman in a yellow collared shirt. The figures are seated on a white wooden garden bench, with the woman holding a single pink rose towards the man. In the foreground, a white circular table holds a glass pitcher and two tumblers containing a yellow-toned liquid. The background features dense green foliage and a clear blue sky, rendered with textured brushwork. The work is signed J. Lynch in the lower left corner; the signature is rendered as a capital J and lowercase y followed by a dot and the surname Lynch. The piece displays pencil guide lines and tape remnants at the corners, consistent with production art for book covers or magazines. Dimensions: H 72.4 cm x W 55.2 cm. Condition: The illustration board shows significant water staining along the bottom edge of the verso, which has caused visible tide marks on the bottom edge of the recto. There are tape remnants and minor surface wear at the corners and margins. The central painted area remains free of significant damage.
