This print on board depicts a serene wilderness landscape, featuring a signature in the lower-left corner reading O. WHITE. The composition illustrates two figures in a canoe navigating the calm waters of a lake, set against a backdrop of a small log cabin and a dense forest of coniferous trees. The work is executed in an atmospheric style with a muted, overcast palette. It is housed in a wide, ornate gilt frame featuring a raised relief pattern of foliate and floral motifs. The reverse of the work consists of an unmarked hardboard support held in place with metal glazing points. Dimensions (frame): approx. H 49.5 cm x W 62 cm. Condition: The print on board shows a visible vertical crack at the top centre edge, other cracks visible. There is general surface dirt and a small indentation located in the upper right quadrant. The ornate frame exhibits age-related cracking throughout the composition material and minor losses to the gilded surface, particularly at the corner joints.
