AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Measuring approximately 13" in diameter, this National Audubon Society Singing Bird Clock has a dark green frame and a white dial illustrated with twelve familiar North American songbirds. Manufactured by Mark Feldstein & Associates, the clock announces each hour with an authentic recording of the bird pictured at that position on the dial. The hourly sequence includes the White-breasted Nuthatch, House Finch, American Robin, Northern Mockingbird, Blue Jay, House Wren, Tufted Titmouse, Northern Oriole, Mourning Dove, Black-capped Chickadee, Northern Cardinal and White-throated Sparrow. The quartz clock movement and separate bird-sound mechanism operate from a total of three AA batteries. A light sensor automatically silences the bird calls when the room is dark, allowing the clock to continue keeping time without sounding overnight. The sound feature may also be turned off. Tested with batteries: the quartz movement operates, and the clock produces the corresponding bird calls. The red synchronization button on the reverse advances the recordings when needed so the hourly call can be aligned with the bird pictured on the dial. Batteries used for testing are not included.
