NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > Standing 16.5" tall at the shaped end brackets and measuring 6" deep, this vintage wood wall shelf combines a long open display ledge with five rounded pegs for hanging coats, hats, towels, aprons, keys, dog leashes or related household items. Four hand painted mallard drakes decorate the horizontal backboard, each rendered with a dark green head, yellow bill, reddish chest, pale body and contrasting tail feathers. The warm stained wood, scalloped side brackets and repeated waterfowl motif reflect the rustic country, lodge and sporting décor popular during the late 20th century. The scalloped end brackets extend above and below the shelf, framing the open ledge and peg rail while giving the piece a distinctive handmade country form. Suitable for an entryway, mudroom, kitchen, hunting camp, lake house or child’s room, with particular appeal for waterfowl, sporting and farmhouse interiors. CONDITION REPORT > Sturdy and useful overall, retaining an appealing aged finish. As discovered, not cleaned or altered. Settled and loose dust is present, and the shelf would benefit from a general cleaning.
