AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > An old KODAK INSTAMATIC HAWKEYE camera box containing a mixed collection of United States and foreign postage stamps assembled over many years, including individual stamps, attached pairs and blocks, postmarked envelope fragments and assorted examples both on and off paper. Visible material includes U.S. commemoratives and definitives, Christmas issues dated 1963, international stamps from Spain, Great Britain, Ireland, Ceylon, Kuwait and other countries, along with postal cancellations extending from the 1960s into later decades. The collection has not been cataloged or individually evaluated and is offered intact as found. Also included are several vintage travel and souvenir postcards depicting the Barbizon-Plaza overlooking Central Park in New York, the passenger ship ARIADNE illuminated at night, European church interiors, a city street scene with trams, Kylemore Abbey in Connemara, Ireland, and a scenic waterfall and stone bridge. The combination of stamps, postmarks, envelope fragments and postcards provides a varied accumulation for collectors interested in philately, postal history, international issues, mid-20th-century correspondence and vintage travel ephemera. Collections of this nature were often formed from family correspondence, travel mail and exchanged stamps saved from incoming letters. Beyond the individual stamps, postmarked paper fragments can preserve useful information about dates, cities, postal routes and international communication, while the postcards add a visual record of tourism, transportation, architecture and popular destinations from the period.
