A pair of silver coins comprising two Canada 50 cents pieces, dated 1945 and 1952. Both coins feature the obverse effigy of King George VI by Thomas Humphrey Paget, with initials HP visible at the base of the neck. The 1945 issue bears the earlier inscription GEORGIVS VI D : G : REX ET IND : IMP :, while the 1952 issue bears the revised legend GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX. The reverse design for both consists of the 1921 Arms of Canada. Composition is 0.800 fineness silver. KM# 36 (1945 specimen). Condition: The 1945 specimen displays moderate circulation wear with dark toning in the recesses. The 1952 specimen retains original lustre with light wear and minor surface marks and spotting to the obverse. Both coins have reeded edges.
