A pair of Canadian silver half-dollar coins dated 1943 and 1945. Both pieces are struck in .800 fineness silver. The obverse of each coin features the George VI uncrowned effigy design by T.H. Paget, while the reverse displays the 1921 Arms of Canada design by G.E. Kruger Gray. The coins possess a reeded edge and bear the designer initials HP and KG. These issues were minted during the Second World War period. Catalogue Reference: KM# 36. Condition: Fine. Both coins exhibit wear on the high points of the relief, including the monarch's hair and the heraldic shield, consistent with circulation. Significant dark toning is present across both surfaces, along with various contact marks and surface scratches.
