A pair of CA silver 50-cent coins issued during the reign of King George VI. The lot includes one 1944 issue and one 1950 issue, both struck in .800 fine silver with reeded edges. The 1944 coin bears the obverse legend GEORGIVS VI D:G: REX ET IND: IMP:, while the 1950 coin features the revised GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX legend following the removal of the imperial title. Both coins display the 1921-1957 version of the Canadian coat of arms on the reverse. Catalogued as KM 45 for the 1950 issue. Suggested reference (unverified) for the 1944 issue: KM 37. Condition: Both coins show wear patterns consistent with light circulation. The 1944 coin exhibits a silver-grey appearance with dark toning in the recessed details. The 1950 coin displays prominent golden-yellow peripheral toning on both the obverse and reverse. No significant edge damage or deep surface abrasions are visible.
