A pair of CA silver 50-cent coins, struck in .800 fine silver with reeded edges. The lot comprises examples dated 1944 and 1950. Each coin features the uncrowned obverse portrait of King George VI by Humphrey Paget. The 1944 specimen carries the legend GEORGIVS VI D:G:REX ET IND:IMP:, while the 1950 specimen carries the revised GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX legend, following the independence of India. The reverse of both coins displays the 1921 Canadian Coat of Arms design. The 1950 issue is documented in numismatic catalogues as KM 45. Condition: Both coins show signs of circulation. The 1944 example exhibits heavy yellowish-brown toning across the obverse and reverse fields. The 1950 example retains original lustre with visible surface contact marks consistent with commercial circulation.
