A pair of Canadian 50-cent coins dated 1951 and 1952, struck in 80% silver. The obverse of each specimen features the King George VI effigy, designed by Humphrey Paget with the initials HP located below the truncation of the neck. The obverse legend reads GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX. The reverse design by G.E. Krueger-Gray, whose initials K and G flank the upper portion of the central shield, depicts the 1921 Coat of Arms of Canada design. Reverse inscriptions include 50 CENTS, CANADA, and the respective year. Both coins feature reeded edges. Catalogue reference: KM 45. Condition: Both coins exhibit signs of circulation including moderate surface wear to the high points. Toning and contact marks are present on both specimens. The 1951 specimen displays dark oxidation spots on the obverse.
