A pair of Canadian silver 50-cent coins, also known as half dollars, comprising a 1943 issue and a 1951 issue. Both specimens are struck in a silver alloy of .800 fineness. The 1943 coin features the obverse portrait of King George VI with the legend GEORGIVS VI D:G: REX ET IND:IMP:. The 1951 coin bears the same portrait but with the updated legend GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX, reflecting India's independence. The reverse of both coins depicts the 1921 Arms of Canada design by George Kruger Gray, with the designer's K G initials visible at the base of the shield. The 1943 coin corresponds to catalogue reference KM# 36 and the 1951 coin to KM# 45. Condition: Both coins are in circulated condition with moderate wear to the high points of the portraits and heraldic details. The 1943 coin shows a consistent dark grey-brown patina across both sides. The 1951 coin retains a brighter silver appearance with light natural toning and scattered surface contact marks. Both specimens have intact reeded edges without significant damage.
