A pair of Canadian silver 50-cent pieces, also known as half dollars, comprising issues from 1965 and 1966. Struck in .800 fineness silver, these coins feature the second portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, surrounded by the Latin legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. The reverse displays the 1957 modified Canadian coat of arms, featuring a shield supported by a lion and a unicorn, with the motto A MARI USQUE AD MARE on a scroll below. The reverse fields are inscribed with CANADA, 50 CENTS, and the respective years. Both coins feature reeded edges. Suggested reference (unverified): KM 62. Condition: Both coins are in circulated condition. The 1965 coin exhibits golden-brown toning and surface contact marks, grading approximately very fine. The 1966 specimen retains significant original lustre with minor spotting and light contact marks, grading approximately extremely fine. Both coins are free from major edge knocks or evidence of cleaning.
